The
staff working at this nursery have undertaken a first aid
training course specifically for young children. Senior staff
also undergo further training courses specifically for
individual children’s medical needs. We also complete with
parents, the recommended DFES medical needs folder, which aims
to support children with on-going medical needs, as good
practise doctors and health visitors are closely involved with
this process.
If your
child is suffering from an infectious illness, we kind request
that your child does not attend the nursery until they have been
given the all clear. If your child is taking prescribed
medication, which requires repeated dosage during the day, we
ask for accompanying written instructions to be entered into the
medication book, the senior staff will ensure that this is
administered.
If your
child becomes unwell whilst in our care, we will contact you to
arrange for collection.
If your
child has an accident whilst in our care, we will contact you
immediately, and we will be responsible for ensuring that the
correct action is taken. If this necessitates hospital
treatment a member of staff will accompany your child. |
